A valid critique of evidence-based mental health treatments is that they largely remain confined to the academic institutions in which they were developed, failing to reach the clinicians and populations that could benefit most. As someone who trained and worked in these settings, one of the most rewarding parts of my job is training other clinicians in the community to deliver specialized eating disorder care.
